SoMeBizLife is a free online conference that will run from noon to 6 pm on Wednesday, January 13. The opening session will be an interactive lunch and talk session from noon to 12:50. We will then have 15-minute presentations from 1 pm to 5 pm. At 5, we will have a panel discussion. BYOB and have fun.

Social media continues to change, but the more change we see, the more the fundamentals of connection and value remain.

1:00 pm to 1:15 pm      The Human Side of Social

As some people focus on the shiny tech distractions of social media, the most powerful and lasting aspect of social media is human connection. Michelle Kane ( will share her insights and advice she offers to clients on how to connect with their followers as real people.



1:20 pm to 1:35 pm     What Social Media Metrics to Measure - And How to Track Them

Patti Dalessio ( will walk us through deciding which actions are important to you and your business, mapping those to metrics, and how to track them. Patti is owner of Reinvent Interactive ( delivering SEO and search marketing services.


1:40 pm to 1:55 pm     LinkedIn Tips for a Crisp 2021 Profile

Christine Johnson-Hall ( present quick ways you can refresh your personal Linkedin profile to put your best foot forward in 2021. CJH Communications is a Doylestown-based, women-owned company launched during the pandemic to help people, small business, and nonprofits tell their stories and elevate their web presence.

2:40 pm to 2:55 pm     Content Journalism: What It Is & How Are You Selling It?

Content journalism is an emerging marketing term for something many of us as writers already do — at least sometimes. Every time we speak with sources for background and quotes while wearing our content marketing hats we’re engaging in content journalism. Jennifer Phillips April ( will facilitate a session to discuss*your* interpretation of the term, the benefit of original content for our clients, and how writers are selling it.

The pandemic has forced us to do more online — Zoom, Teams, Hangouts, Slack, Messenger, Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter. But there has to be more! Using free and affordable technology and platforms, you too can enter the world of VR meetings. Det Ansinn ( will share what is working for him.



3:20 pm to 3:35 pm      Clubhouse: What Is It & Why You Should Want In

A key part of social media is listening and Clubhouse is a great place to do it -- even if you don't want to be a speaker you can learn so much by listening. If you want to share your perspective with many people who you don't know yet (building your network!) this is a place to do it! Chuck Hall (, a new Clubhouse member and by no means a Clubhouse expert, will introduce his perspective on the platform and invite participants to share and ask questions.


3:40 pm to 3:55 pm     Embracing the Next Normal

As we go through a once in a lifetime pandemic, we are experiencing major challenges in our personal and professional lives. As with 9/11, the world has changed as a result of the pandemic. Rather than retreat, there are things we can do digitally for our business to stay relevant. Steve Levine ( will lead us through his research-based insights.

How do we connect with new people to create mutually beneficial relationships on Linkedin and gain more business? Trajectify ( CEO Mike Krupit ( will share his secrets for developing new business through Linkedin prospecting.



5:00 pm to 6:00 pm      Fun, Joy and Community Engagement


Panelists Amanda Soler (, Mike Maney ( ), Tom Brunt (, Nickey Hollenbach, James Dinn ( and Rose Prendergast Miller ( will share how they have fun, spread joy and pull people together through social media. All are encouraged to enjoy an end of day libation of their choice while participating in this session.

Register and attend as your schedule permits. Need to take a client meeting in the middle of the program? Just log out and then log back in when you can. Not interested in a particular session? Log out and loofa your calusses for a bit. Need to take that urgent call from your mother who needs help with her Apple ID . . . again. Well, you can come and go as you please!
