Beth Baker on Panel: Social Media for Nonprofits

Beth Baker, a technically savvy innovator who founded Deserving Décor, a Bucks County nonprofit, four years ago, will present as a panel member at the 2012 SoMeBizLife Conference along with Jamie Haddon of Bucks County United Way and Larry Browne of Doylestown Fire Company. The panel will be moderated by Karen Graziano of Villanova University.

As an experienced decorator and visionary, Beth developed a process to provide transitional homeless shelters with furnishings and decorating services — using community donated furniture and home décor. Beth has spent more than 25 years in the computer industry and has worked as Computer Technician, Network Administrator, Trainer and Consultant. As an Entrepreneur for the past 17 years, she became a self-taught Web Developer, creating her own business websites and as an early adopter of Social Media, has become adept at Blogging, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Beth has utilized her Social Media skills as a way to develop a network of volunteers, donors, and advocates to promote her nonprofit. As a result, she has propelled Deserving Décor into the local, regional and national spotlight.
