Maria Evans: New Media, Old Media Work Together

Maria Martino Evans, president of Martino Evans Clear/Concise/Communication, will present at the 2012 SoMeBizLife Conference as a member of a panel discussion “Making the May-September Relationship of New Media-Old Media Work for Your Clients.” The panel is part of the Social Media Professionals Track and also includes writer Cookie Biggs along with track moderator and video expert Rick Toone.

Maria believes in the power of the perfect word – and loves to help clients say what they need to get the results they want. An award-winning writer and editor, she worked as a newspaper reporter, then developed and edited numerous trade magazines and, for the better part of a decade worked at Merck, where she led employee communications international, helped build the largest coalition of women’s groups, managed the PR that launched a blockbuster and went to Chad with former President Carter to promote the industry’s largest philanthropic effort.

Since starting her own company 10 years ago, Maria continues to create marketing momentum for a variety of clients from international companies to solopreneurs. With an MBA in international business and marketing and degrees in journalism and political science, Maria works with organizations and companies to increase their visibility and standing among key audiences.

This fall, she begins teaching in the Wharton Communications Program. She is an adjunct professor of Marketing in the MBA program at Delaware Valley College. Maria is a lifetime member and past-President of the Women’s Business Forum and active in several committees of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
