Jen Phillips April on Social Media Professionals Panel

Jen Phillips April, a copywriter and social media consultant, will speak as part of a panel for social media professionals at the 2012 SoMeBizLife Conference. Jen will share her insights on the panel along with social media consultant and trainer Kristin Kane of Kane Partners, and social media consultant Eric Lepping of Sherpa Lab.

Jen started as an online copywriter in 2005 with her dog site, www.all-natural-dog-treat.com.  Here she first encountered the power of building relationships online through the “help” forums on the Site Build It platform.  Now Jen helps business owners and marketers maximize their ROI from social media.  By asking the planning questions first,  she devises a social media strategy that’s right for their business.  Using her experience in the online marketing world and SEO, she integrates the social media strategy with their website optimization efforts whenever possible.

Having personally built real relationships online that have turned into referral sources and outright clients, Jen “gets” the power of social media. Her work with clients from Forbes list of 25 Most Influential Women Tweeting About Entrepreneurship as well as local marketing firms has received national recognition.

Active in the Women’s Business Forum of Bucks County & Network Now, Jen loves  connecting in real life too. An art and history buff, Jennifer worked in museums for 10 years before jumping into the freelance world of writing and social media.  At the museums, she wrote press releases, newsletters and other marketing materials and planned educational programs.

When not helping businesses grow online, she’s usually salsa dancing, baking dog treats  or dreaming in tweets.
