Michael Thomas, a veteran marketing professional, will speak on proactive social media at the 2012 SoMeBizLife Conference, May 30 at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA, along with Michael Rubillo. He will speak in the Social Media Professionals Track moderated by Rick Toone.

Since 1981, when Michael turned his interests to marketing, leaving a short but distinguished career in finance, he held positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing including: surgical products sales, marketing research, product management, professional relations, marketing and communications services, strategic level corporate customer relationship development, and sales management.  Prior to forming Trestle Point, LLC., Michael served as Director, Strategic Consulting Program Development and Marketing for Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems then was Managing Principal of The Marketing Connexion.

Michael received his MBA in marketing and finance from Rutgers University and his BA in Economics from Dartmouth College. During his corporate years, Michael’s commitment to excellence and superior performance was recognized with honors for Special Achievements, President’s Recognition and a New Jersey Outstanding Black Professional. Michael is a lifelong learner and teacher. Between 2003 and 2007 he held an appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Business with the College of Graduate Studies of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Mike makes his home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and shares his life’s pursuits with his wife, children and recently arrived granddaughter.
