The 2012 SoMeBizLife Conference will feature a new track this year — Social Media Entrepreneurship.
The introduction and adoption of new technology such as social media creates opportunities for entrepreneurs to develop new products and business models. You’ve got an idea that can be used to build a company. What does it take to create a product or service that will generate revenues and even become profitable? How can innovative ideas be translated into long-term, sustainable business operations?
In this session, entrepreneurs at various stages of developing social media-related businesses will share what they are building and how they are doing it. Moderated by Mike Krupit, head of business incubator Novotorium, this track is designed to help entrepreneurs (or those aspiring to be) explore opportunities and the path between idea and implementation – and revenues.
We’re currently putting together more details and presenters for the breakout sessions, but here’s the gist of what will take place
- Breakout Session I: Business Models on the Social Media Landscape
- Breakout Session II: From Idea to Start-up to Ramp-up: What Does It Take?
- Breakout Session III: Case Studies/ Demos from Social Media Entrepreneurs
(This will include insights/ actionable takeaways, not just pitches/demos.) - Breakout Session IV: Case Studies/ Demos from Social Media Entrepreneurs
(This will include insights/ actionable takeaways, not just pitches/demos.)
[Note: This track will not address building professional service businesses – consultancies or solo practitioners.]
