Social Media is more than a means to connect with friends and colleagues, keep up with news, market our products, or service our customers. It is a transforming influence on how we communicate and interrelate, and one of the results has been to accelerate the ability to innovate.
Ever since the coffee houses of the 17th & 18th centuries, heterogeneous communities of personalities, skills, and beliefs have found ways to congregate and share ideas, ultimately affecting a renewal of or change in thinking. Today, Social Media has dramatically accelerated such innovation.
We will explore the concept of innovation, how it happens, and the impact of Social Media.
Bio
Michael Krupit operationalizes a vision by partnering with the entrepreneur, founder, CEO, Board, or executive team to deliver tangible results from the long-term vision. He is a technology expert with an impressive history of executive leadership. Like the hybrid car he drives, Mike blends the fundamentals with an innovative approach to the future of a company’s business.
Mike is currently the Chief Innovation Officer of Voice Systems Engineering (VSE) of Langhorne, PA. He is charged with discovering and developing new technologies, identifying potential partners and acquisition opportunities, and ensuring VSE’s position as a leader in the industry.
His career spans companies from small and start-up to large and mature. Mike held key positions at innovative technology organizations (like Infonautics and Verity), supported small entrepreneurial entities as they faced the challenges of burgeoning success (like Knite), and played a major role at CDNOW as it moved to the forefront of Internet commerce. His strong leadership skills were further demonstrated when he was asked to serve as that organization’s CEO through its acquisition and integration into Bertelsmann AG.
Mike helped these organizations to become more strategically focused, identified ways to commercialize their technology, and guided the development of business partnerships.
